April Fools’ Day trick
Puzzle Classic randomly chooses each game’s solvability on 1st April each year.
6 6 3 3
In portrait orientation, displays this list of Easter Eggs. The sequence is derived from “EEgg”, written upside down, if that helps you to remember it.
1 2 1 2 1 2
In portrait orientation, displays a popup menu where you can choose whether games are solvable or not.
This is a fun trick to play on your friends who want to play the game and don’t know about this feature yet – you can set their game to be unsolvable when they’re not looking!
1 1 1 1 1 1
Displays a library of the photos used by the random game. Now you can choose your favourite picture!
2 2 2 2 2 2
Changes the game frame/background to a black plastic look (the same sequence changes it back to wood.)
5 5 5 5 5 5
For 4x4 layouts, changes the game to a magic square configuration. A magic square is where the rows, columns and diagonals (and other groups of tiles) add up to 30.
9 9 9 9 9 9
Provides the answer to the ultimate question.
2 4 6 … (to last even numbered tile)
Displays a menu where you can reset the game’s preferences to default settings. (To avoid accidental triggering, only games with 15 or more tiles (e.g. 4x4) will show this menu.)
1 3 5 … (to last odd numbered tile)
Displays the fireworks as shown during a high score.
For 3x3 and 4x4 layouts, pressing this sequence when the game is over will show the tile sequences used in some of the screen grabs and icons.
1 2 3 … (to last numbered tile)
Displays a hidden image.
8 6 7 5 3 0 9
Your iPhone would call Jenny, except 0 can’t be pressed in this game. (Ok, that was really lame.)
